‘L’ shaped panels are self-supporting and this has considerable benefits in the erection process. The panels are lifted off the transporter by crane and placed in position on packers prior to grouting. During this process, the panel requires an average of three men to manoeuvre the panel into place and because no supporting stays or props are required, a panel can be uplifted from the trailer and put in position in a matter of minutes. Erection can always match production output and therefore the speed to construct the building will be the same as the maximum output of the plant.
